Conferences!

Conferences were great! I want to thank all of you for your time and making it on time. I'm glad that we are able to discuss your child's success! It was fun getting to know some of you better! Please contact me if you have any questions. I truly believe the more communication the better.

On another note I had some of you wanting to know what you can do at home. I'm going to keep posting things for you to be able to do at home with your Kinder. It's hard to know what we are working on so each week I'll try to add some things to the blog! I was thinking that I would do something maybe on Thursday's. Meaning I will post something every Thursday for you to either print off or ideas to do at home. I hope this will help :)

I'll start today!!! Here is a game that you can play to reinforce sight words.

Dress Up Day and Coffee Shop!

We were so glad we met both of our goals in one day! We got to dress up fancy, and boy did they look adorable!

Sight Word Yellow Brick Road

The other day we did sight word yellow brick road. I just wrote our sight words on paper and the kids had to hop around the room, they have to say the word when the hop to the word. This is a great thing to do for the kiddos who need that extra help with sight words. You will receive the sight words we are working on at conferences.

Fall Informance

Our informance was a success! I'm so grateful to all of you for making it to our room that day. We really believe it is much more beneficial for you to see the things we are working on in our room. It's also beneficial because we are able to then talk about where your child may need some more growth and what that looks like in the classroom. Again, thank you so much for coming.

Domino Concentration

The kids played domino concentration today. They have to flip over all of the cards and play memory with dominos and matching numbers. The key concpets that the kids are working on during this games is: counting the number of dots on the dominos, matching numbers on dots to written numerals, become aware of equivalent names for numbers.
