Reading Aloud!
I've been allowing the kiddos to read to the class if they have a favorite book, that they can read! Here are some that we 've done so far!

What are living things?
We are talking about plants and animals during literacy time. Our theme question is what are living things. For inquiry the kids decided we would choose an animal and research this animal. They all choose an animal they researched and wrote about that animal. Then they drew a picture of that animal.
Some skills that we were working on were:
Non-fiction writing
Hear and discuss a non-fiction book
We need water!
Gail from Des. Moines Waterworks came once again to teach us about why we need water.
